The region is rich in cultural and sport activities and is incredibly family friendly. There is truly something for everyone : water sports such as scuba diving, snorkel, jet-ski in the Marine Greenwich (Campomanes) or kitesurf, windsurfing board, flyboard, canoe, kayak and rowing on the beach of Cap Negret and its midl winds. You can also rent small sailboats in Besetes, approximately 1 km from Calpe. For the golf lovers, numerous courses the closest being Don Cayo in Altea, Melia Villaitana in Benidorm, La Sella in Denis, the Golf of Javea, Ifach in Moraira, .... And concerning tennis and padle, it’s very simple: courts are available 5 minutes from the villa.
The « nature » lovers enjoy beautiful strolls all year round, on foot or on a bike: five possible roads called "Camins d' Altea" getn you familiar with the rich rural landscape of Altea. You can also discover the natural reserve of Serra Gelada (Ice-cold Mountain), 439 meters above the Mediterranean Sea with breath-taking views on the East of Spain!
Several theme parks are also worthwile: "Terra Mitica", edicated to the various civilizations around the world, "Aqualandia", water park with incredible slides, "Mundomar" (small version of Sea World) and "Terra Natura", with numerous animal species.









FESTIVITIES
Whether cultural or sportive, numerous events take place in the region and particularly in Altea. In January, the Kings fiesta and its parade, in February, the Carnival, in April, the Semana Santa (craft fair and concerts), in June, the planting of Sant Jan ‘s Tree, the Sant Pere and Santa Anna’s maritime fiestas, in August, the famous fireworks of the castel del Olla, in September, the fiestas of Altea (Moors and Christians parades, street concerts, popular activities).
